╘HE GAME OF ─╧─╟┼ HAS BEEN SEEN IN VARIOUS FORMS ON MANY COMPUTERS
INCLUDING ═INI AND MAINFRAME. ╘HIS VERSION WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
BY ╩OSEPH ╦ALASH FOR ╙YBEX BOOKS AND PUBLISHED IN "┴PPLE ╨ASCAL ╟AMES".
╘HE ORIGINAL GAME PORTED OVER ALMOST EXACTLY AS WRITTEN FOR THE
┴PPLE ╔╔ WITH THE ONLY MODIFICATION BEING RANDOM NUMBER GENERATION
AND THE LACK OF USING ┴PPLESTUFF (WHATEVER THAT IS THE 128 HAS IT
ALL BUILT IN).
┴S ORIGINALLY WRITTEN THE GAME USED A ═INI/═AINFRAME TYPE
OF ENVIRONMENT. ╘HE SCREEN SCROLLED FOR EACH BOARD DISPLAY, AND
MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE BOARD WAS
PRINTED. ├LEANING THIS UP MENT USING ONE DISPLAY SCREEN, REPRINTING
EACH NEW BOARD OVER THE PREVIOUS ONE GIVING THE ILLUSION OF THE
PLAYER AND OTHER PIECES MOVING. ╔ MOVED THE MESSAGES OVER TO THE
RIGHT OF THE BOARD DISPLAY, AND KEPT THE DIRECTIONAL PROMPT UNDER
THE BOARD. ┴LL IN ALL EXTENSIVE USE OF THE 128'S WINDOWING FEATURE
WAS EMPLOYED TO 'CLEAN UP' THE DISPLAY. ╙OME TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS
IN THE ORIGINAL PROGRAM (AS WELL AS SOME LOGIC ERRORS WHICH
RESULTED FROM THE FORMER TYPOS) HAD TO BE CLEANED UP.
╔F YOU ARE A ╨ASCAL PERSON THEN YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY CONFIGURING
IN THE ╩OYSTICK AS THE USER INPUT DEVICE. ╘HIS SHOULD BE LITTLE
OR NO PROBLEM SINCE THE KEYPAD VALUES AND JOYSTICK VALUES CORELATE
DIRECTLY FOR THIS GAME; I.E.,

EXTENSIONS.
